How Wedge Locking Technology Work
Radial Preloading (Side A)
The mechanical tensioner at the small end of the taper stud (side A) pulls the stud into the expanding split sleeve for initial controlled radial preloading.
True Precision Radial Fit
The split sleeve expands radially and exerts a large radial force directly into the bores of the coupling bolt holes to produce a truly fitted, uniform friction interface.
Axial Clamping Forces (Side B)
The mechanical tensioner at the large end of the taper stud (side B) establishes specified axial clamping forces, securing faces firmly against shear slip.
Simple & Damage-Free Removal
During turnaround/removal, the large end tensioner (side B) pulls the stud out of the sleeve, causing the sleeve to collapse inward for effortless extraction.
